ABOUT THE BLACK-FOOTED FERRET
The little black-footed ferret (Mustela nigripes) is one of the most endangered mammals in North America, and the only ferret native to the prairie grasslands. The destruction of their habitat and a deadly plague threaten the species, but preservation efforts and advanced methods of vaccine distribution offer hope.
